Python and interfaces/abstract classes

Hi,

The python faq [6.21] indicates that this feature is not 
supported, but that enforcement can be checked with a good  
test module. While certainly possible, this approach may 
not be practical in all situations.

Does anyone know if support for interfaces will be provided 
in future versions of python ?
