image folder for ZOPE?

Zopes file system exists in the ZODB. An external application can place
things in this file system, with some effort. I've done it by using ZEO from
the external application.

Assuming this is more complexity than you require. Try this:
http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/LocalFS
