Python in WWW-development?

Hi there!

I've been using Python for a while now, and I'm quite hooked to it. I was
mainly wondering wether there are any nice modules for Apache that would
allow me to write code similar to PHP? I don't want to use CGI, which works
fine with Python too, but I'd like to embed the code into the WWW-pages.

Is this possible, and is there some module or project that does/tries to do
this?
