Interactive vs IDLE

Yes, interactive mode starts a lot faster than IDLE.
Also IDLE requires Tkinter support to be built in.
Our site install of Python 1.5.1 on Unix for example
doesn't have that feature built in.
Also IDLE has a few little foibles, especially
when dealing with Tkinter apps that make the
command line version a safer place to work.
