i tend to avoid the proselytizing of various `internet language' people.
along with the above, i also avoid reading richard stallan's
essays/interviews (yeah, free beer, i get it). and tom christiansen's
various postings (yeah, read the docs, i get it)
i came to python by wanting oo, and wanting to avoid java like the plague.
i don't really need to be convinced of anything. if python is as good as i'm
reading about, i'll use it on a regular basis. i did the same with perl and
tcl/tk. i like to have the option to use the language that's best for a
particular job.
