Tkinter: stretching text ?

I need to display text with different heights in a Tkinter Canvas, where
the height of letters is representing the information contained in e.g.DNA
or proteins. 
(for an example picture: http://www-lmmb.ncifcrf.gov/~toms/sequencelogo.html)

The question is: How should I create and show the different letters in the
canvas widget ...

any suggestions ?
