Horst,

I use XEmacs almost exclusively, and vi when I'm feeling
masochistic <0.3 wink>. However, once upon a time I edited
Python code in Windows with Visual SlickEdit.  If you
traverse the ftp section of http://www.slickedit.com
you'll find a user contributed python.zip file.
