Unfortunately, if you type "Python Tutorial" into most search engines, you get
many mirrors of Guido's tutorial (which I like, but it's nice to have
alternatives).  However, if you follow http://www.pythonlabs.com/ to
http://www.vex.net/parnassus/ and then choose the  Info/Books/Tutorials link
then Tutorials, you will get quite a few alternatives. I will include two more
that are not listed there:

and a link that definitely should be listed, but isn't yet,
