Disabling Comboboxes

Hi, I'm new to python and am experimenting with Pmw and Tkinter
applications.  Can anyone tell me how I would go about disabling a pmw
combobox?
I tried disabling the 'entry' field separately, and then changing the
bindings on the arrow button...but that generated some errors.  It works
sometimes, and not at others.  I was wondering if there was a simpler
solution.
