DSN?

Hey,
	I am a new Python user, so bear with my stupidity/ignorance.
	I am writing a simple log analyzer for www.thestuff.net.  It's a
Python script that runs through a _mysql layer to get to the mySQL
database.  I've been told that I need to (or at least should) use DSN
method of contacting mySQL.  How do I do this?
