compiling w/threads on NetBSD

I'm compiling python 1.5.2 on NetBSD 1.4.1 ... I want to get ZOPE going
on it. I suspect that an answer to this threads question will answer
my ncurses q.

I have this threads package installed ...
/usr/pkg/pthreads

./configure --help

tells me that I can ...

--with-thread

but it does not know anything about /usr/pkg/pthreads

there is a switch for
--with-libs=

but none for
--with-includesdir

what can I do?
