I don't know about commercial games but ... have a look at the 
WorldForge project at http://www.worldforge.org/ (massive multi-players 
role playing game). They are using Python in many parts of the project.

I also heard about a commercial game company (a big one ... but I can't 
remember which one) recruiting python programmers to code games. So ... 
it seems Python can be a nice choice for fancy stuff ;-)
