popen(), ActivePython and ActiveCommodo on one machine

Did anyone experience incompatibilities between scripts using

f = popen("net view")
f.read()
f.close()

and PythonWin (ActivePython)?

I am not sure, but at about the same time as I use these commands I
installed ActiveCommodo 1.0 Beta 1. So probably this could be a problem now.

For known reasons (Win NT 4.0 Svr) I'm a bit afraid of
uninstalling/installing this and that.

Any experinces so far?
