And of course as soon as I posted this, my brain got a spark and 'htmllib'
popped into my head...but a search showed that htmllib is part of the
standard Python library.  I thought and though for a minute or two,
but still could not come up with it.

Then I searched for 'ANN' on deja.com under comp.lang.python and
started digging back.
