EXIF images with PIL?

Hello,

does anybody know if PIL supports EXIF images? EXIF(*) images
are basically like JPEG, but contain additional data that
usually stems from the generating device like digital cameras
and the like. 

I'd like to know if using PIL it is possible to extract the
EXIF data segments?
