Python and Macromedia Shockwave

I am having a perplexing problem with a Macromedia Shockwave file that uses a parent movie and several child movies within it.  Does anyone else use Shockwave within web page that also uses python?  I am not a regular subscriber to the newsgroup, so please reply to 'lhasan at americangreetings.com'.  Thanks,
