Possibly.  I haven't looked at those messages in detail yet to see
what direction they're coming from.  But remember that
python-list at python.org is gated to comp.lang.python.  Mailman
(current) doesn't do any filtering of messages it pulls off of Usenet, 
so if you're reading the mailing list, you get to enjoy all the same
healthy "pork" all the news readers do.
