Cons (replacement for make) in Python?

I've written such a beast, but have yet to release it.  I'm still
working on its web site and plan to unveil it shortly.  It has
multi-threaded support so it supports parallel building in a very
natural way.  It should run on any OS that supports Python 1.5.2.
