The default stack in Win32 is a 1 Meg reserved block.  It is allocated and
locked as used.  My memory (Advanced Windows, Richter ) is that the stack
can grow past that point.  Why not.  But, if you are blowing a 1 meg
stack....well, I would guess time to redesign.
