Python GUIs: Abandoning TkInter and welcoming wxPython?

wx runs on more platforms than Windows and X. If you really want to get rid
of Tcl/Tk why not implement Tk in wxWindows. This would give people the
flexiblity to use either interface without the bulk of Tcl/Tk and still
retain portability. You would then only have to include wxWindows with
Python and an interface for Tk written in wxWindows.

Speaking as a new user I find both Tcl/Tk and wxWindows useful. It would be
nice if the Tcl bit were removed as it seems bulky and redundant and a Tk
interface would be faster (sorry, just reitering!). Tk is great for quick
knocked up interfaces and wxWindows seems better for writing larger more
"windowsie" projects!

Haven't had a chance to look at FOX yet.
