Why have 300 articles just appeared in c.l.py?

If you looked at the From: line, there was an added suffix that included
"fidonet" to everyone's e-mail address.  From which I conclude that
someone's fidonet<->Usenet gateway barfed.  Killing all From: lines with
"fidonet" did the job.
