To generalize, publishers are *very* receptive to Python
books now.  An even more important generalization:  as in
romance, generalities don't matter as much as whether you
make the right contact with *one* (as opposed to zero, or
the indeterminate horde) partner.  Maybe there's matchma-
king to be done here ...
