If you set something up and posted a link, I would happily contribute.
I've had to quite a bit of Perl hacking (and integration with Notes!)
for an installation program on Unix.  I've seen both sides of Perl and 
Python, both as a newbie when I was learning the languages, and now as
I help others at work learn them.  With any luck, I might have some
tidbit of knowledge that will help someone else out.
