Install trouble

Dear all,

I'm having trouble installing the latest Python release. I'm also trying
to install for multiple platforms (Solaris and DEC OSF1). Here's what
happens when I try to do the Solaris installation:

% cd ~/tmp/
% tar -xvf py152.tar
% cd Python-1.5.2/
% mkdir /bham/ums/solaris/pd/packages/Python-1.5.2/
% cd /bham/ums/solaris/pd/packages/Python-1.5.2/

#This is how the README instructs X-platform installs
#These options worked with the 1.5.1 install
% /home/pg/sir/tmp/Python-1.5.2/configure
