ldap controls

hi There, 

im working on an Python script to bulksetup some users in an e-Directory 
server. 

The Problem is that i have to set an ldap control to enable simple 
passwords. Without this control e-Dirctory/nds stores the password in 
some unreachable attributes. 

Ist there a way to set ldap controls from python.
