It's not.  *Probability* is a branch of math.  Statistics *uses* math
(not limited to probability) heavily, but its fundamental mode of
thinking is applied, not mathematical: interpretation of statistics
inherently requires domain knowledge.

Because it's an integral with respect to a positive measure (ie, a
distribution) defined on the set of currency units. ;-)
