Tarring an entire community for the actions of one twit is more than a
little unfair.

It's fine that you don't like eggs and it's fine that you don't want to
provide them. There's a reason egg-based packaging tools make it fairly
easy to create an egg from a normal sdist package.

As for people being twits... it's the internet. There isn't a lot to be
done other than to ignore them.
