This is quite a major assumption.

Most FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD users tend to install a minimal binary OS
(kernel plus system tools) and then proceed to install third party
applications via either ports or pkgsrc. This means that Python gets built
from scratch. So depending on Python to build Python seems a bad decision if
you care for my opinion.
