And on HTML 5.  Those of us using IE might be hosed, but perhaps Python
developers all use Firefox?  (I use Camino.)

Well, they've got this server synchronization protocol.  Might mitigate
both problems.  I'm thinking about building a Python Wave server to run
in UpLib, if I can find the time.
