[Python-Dev] Type hierarchy for numbers for 2.6

Hi!

The issue 1689 [1] proposes a patch to backport the PEP 3141 [2], A
Type Hierarchy for Numbers, to the trunk.

The patch applies cleanly, and all tests pass ok (of course, even the
new ones that are specific to this).

The patch misses documentation and lines for the NEWS file, I'll ask
for them there. But I wanted to tell you that this is going on, just
in case you want to take a look to it.
