I wasn't proposing it for 2.5 (for this very reason) -- AFAICT most
responses were again st this for 2.6 or 2.7.

Hopefully you're okay with Thomas's patch going into 2.5a3 -- it
*warns* about directories without __init__.py that otherwise match the
requested name.
