I think that speaks for itself:  immediately after ESR praised Guido's
impeccable English, Guido goes and violates the Economist's style guide by
not spelling that

as I and all right-thinking singular grammarians would have done.  I grew up
in the Peters' house along with the rest of the Peters family, but if I ever
get an apartment here it will be Peters's.
