From kirby.urner at gmail.com Wed Jun 1 10:40:44 2016 From: kirby.urner at gmail.com (kirby urner) Date: Wed, 1 Jun 2016 07:40:44 -0700 Subject: [Python-cuba] noting Cuba in Guido's keynote (Portland Pycon 2016) Message-ID: I think it worthy of mention in this particular channel, that Guido van Rossum expressed his enthusiasm for attending a pycon in Cuba next year as the final note of his keynote at Portland Pycon 2016. I'd link to the video but I don't think it's up yet. Many of the talks are already (the conference is still in progress) *. In broad outline, he gave a "state of the union" covering highlights of 3.5/3.6, than shared some autobiography, with commentary, that he'd recently shared with the Dutch Embassy at a formal presentation for King's Day (April 27) in San Francisco. Engaging. Watch for the video. For my part I attended eduSummit (not recorded). I wrote a blog post about that linked from the edu-sig channel. https://mail.python.org/pipermail/edu-sig/2016-May/011458.html Look for me around Oregon Convention Center if you're here now!
