Barry's checkin was *not* on the trunk, but on the 2.5 branch:

Anthony did not recently create another branch, AFAICT: the last one
was the release25-maint branch. Instead, he created a tag "r251c1".
This tag will *not* be used to create the final 2.5.1 release.
Instead, the final 2.5.1 release will be made out of the release25-maint
branch.

Hope this clears it up (and hoping this is all correct).
