mod_python for apache 1.x reccomends building without threads but doesn't
require it.  I tried googling for people who use --without-threads and most
were pre-2003 and talking about mod_python.  HURD and FreeBSD came up a
couple times.  Do we need to add more *BSD buildbots?  As for HURD I think
we can safely say getting python running is the least of their problems.
