You are on your own for AIX debugging, I'm afraid.  You can try the #python-dev channel on freenode for questions about how things work in general.  If you find real problems with the python code you can open new issues (we have accepted patches for AIX when they were not AIX specific or were adjustments to existing AIX conditionals...we need an AIX buildbot to provide real AIX support).
