We discovered today that *all* the downloads on the BeOpen site somehow or other got corrupted.

Until this is repaired, you get a correct Windows installer from
ftp://python.beopen.com/pub/tmp/BeOpen-Python-2.0b1.exe

Fixed and Closed.

Unfortunately, the BeOpen webmasters haven't figured this one out yet. The files on the site are fine, it's Apache and/or Zope screwing them up on download. This is nasty corruption, as it doesn't change the lengths of the files, it just replaces gobs of bytes throughout the interior with seemingly random trash bytes (but consistently! it's the same trash in the same places each time).

Until it is figured out, they changed the download page to use a different method of serving files. This appears to work.
