Bug #113700, was updated on 2000-Sep-06 06:16
Here is a current snapshot of the bug.

Project: Python
Category: Documentation
Status: Open
Resolution: None
Bug Group: None
Priority: 5
Summary: widespread bug in HTML files: lots of italics

Details: I'd already noticed this in AMK's and Moshe's doc about
"what's new in Python 2". There's some bug in the
converter-to-HTML that, occasionally, for a big closed
bracket, outputs a </var> in front and a <var> in back
rather than vice-versa; so all the rest of the HTML is
italicized. E.g., it shows up in built-in-funcs.html
in the description of int (x[, radix]) [possibly
later too, haven't checked].
