No problems now that I am working with source. This seems to be a documentation
bug on the page http://doc.pypy.org/en/latest/getting-started-python.html.
The page says "the first thing to do is to download a pre-built PyPy for your
architecture". It immediately goes on to describe steps that are only possible
if you checkout the entire project source tree, but that is never mentioned.
The documentation needs to be updated reflect that.
