Then something is wrong with your python-dev if it doesn't work. Make sure you 
can compile things using "Python.h".

translatorshell is just for playing. If you really want to do rpython programs, 
you need to create target in translator/goal, look for targetnopstandalone.py

Anyway, RPython is not a general purpose language and we dicourage using it. Why 
would you bother?
