I finally got around to this today. I added a PythonTrainingGroup page: http://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonTrainingGroup This lists a few known trainers. Marilyn Davis confirmed that she can edit the PythonTraining page: http://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonTraining I can edit it as well, but that's because I'm in the AdminGroup. Can someone who is not in the AdminGroup and not listed in the PythonTrainingGroup page check the PythonTraining page to make sure it appears immutable for you? I think that the initial problem may have been related to not being logged in, as the ACL was only letting people who are in the Known category (which is everyone who is effectively logged in or returning the Moin cookie) edit the page, and I see that Marilyn edited it back in September as a logged in user. If people don't want to have to maintain separate Moin account details, we could once again consider the OpenID support, I suppose. Now with some serious guys paid to do the site plumbing works, how about creating a wishlist for them, which will also include the point: * do not show wiki TextCHAs to users with more than 10 edits We only need a maintainer for this list. Yeah, footing the bill for the certificates isn't a big thing for such a big project that Python is.. Yes I could work with people to get SSL going. I'm not sure where to start though, and would like some pointers as to who I can talk to. I'm not always available (self-employed so stress and work amount goes up and down), but could try to set up things so that a group of people, or someone new, can maintain it as a whole. -- Nidelven IT || We know Python, Zope & Plone http://www.nidelven-it.no/ From sheep at sheep.art.pl Fri Dec 7 17:09:18 2012 From: sheep at sheep.art.pl (Radomir Dopieralski) Date: Fri, 7 Dec 2012 17:09:18 +0100 Subject: [pydotorg-www] Wiki ACLs In-Reply-To: <201212070009.41703.paul@boddie.org.uk> References: <201212062325.35180.paul@boddie.org.uk> <201212070009.41703.paul@boddie.org.uk> Message-ID: On Fri, Dec 7, 2012 at 12:09 AM, Paul Boddie wrote: > On Thursday 06 December 2012 23:43:52 anatoly techtonik wrote: > > On Fri, Dec 7, 2012 at 1:25 AM, Paul Boddie wrote: > > > If people don't want to have to maintain separate Moin account details, > > > we could once again consider the OpenID support, I suppose. > > > > Python custom OpenID support is already enabled.
