Here are some sites to keep in mind as we go through our analysis phase.
Feel free to suggest others that you think work particularly well or exhibit
features that we should avoid. We can "steal" the good ideas for python.org
and avoid the mistakes.

http://www.php.net/

http://www.perl.org/

http://use.perl.org/

http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/
Horrible URL, at least we don't have that problem.

http://www.apache.org/

http://www.postgresql.org/

Note that if you try and go to http://www.java.com/ you get redirected to:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/ instead of http://java.sun.com/

http://www.microsoft.com/net/

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/

http://www.linux.org/

ka
ps. Is that the "official Linux home page"? As someone who doesn't use
Linux, I find it quite surprising. Not as bad as when you go to
http://www.python.net/ and find no site, or go to http://python.net/ and get
confused by the Starship, or go to python.com and find a porn gateway, but I
digress ;-)
