I also removed some of the 2017-specific links and wording. When can I start encouraging other open source projects to plan and announce their sprints on that page? I want to do it soon since contributors have already begun planning their May travel. We will have to decide if we will create a new form for newcomer friendly projects. Other than that, I think it is fine to encourage folks to fill out the page now. They can also put in the text description that they are newcomer friendly.
