Message-ID: <40316342.2050904@gradient.cis.upenn.edu> Is there a recommended hotel or group of hotels? (Namely, one where I'll be more likely to bump into other pycon participants, and/or one where I can get a group rate.) Or should I just try to find something close to the Cafritz Conference Center? (There's a list on the conference center's webpage [1]). I'm staying at the Great Western Keybridge; I assume that like last year others will be, too. (It's overall probably the best combination of closeness to GWU through Metro with decent room rates.) -- Aahz (aahz@pythoncraft.com) <*> http://www.pythoncraft.com/ "Argue for your limitations, and sure enough they're yours." --Richard Bach From aahz at pythoncraft.com Mon Feb 16 23:58:56 2004 From: aahz at pythoncraft.com (Aahz) Date: Mon Feb 16 23:59:03 2004 Subject: [Pycon-interest] Re: [Pycon-organizers] Re: Recommended hotel(s)? I highly recommend the Rouge hotel. http://rougehotel.com/ It really is that wacky looking inside, and you get internet access in the rooms. --david From lac at strakt.com Wed Feb 25 12:43:25 2004 From: lac at strakt.com (Laura Creighton) Date: Wed Feb 25 12:43:29 2004 Subject: [Pycon-interest] Found, cheaper hotel near Rosslyn station Message-ID: <200402251743.i1PHhPt7002241@ratthing-b246.strakt.com> (so 2 metro stops away). Quality Inn Iwo Jima Saturday the 20th it is 119.95 USD but the rest of the nights it is only 85.95 for 1 or 2 people -- and 95.95 for 3 or 4. I found it by going to: http://www.places-on-sale.com/hotels_in/washington_dc/hotels.html then adjusting the searches for my days of stay, and then searching the result set by location -- the have GWU as a landmark. Hope this helps somebody, Laura
