Since nobody else has responded, I'll take a whack at this: The short answer is that "it depends". If this is for legal purposes and you need to have your 15 hours formally certified, the answer is that the PSF almost certainly does *NOT* have the resources to give this to you. If this is not for legal purposes or if you can have someone else do the monitoring and certifying, it might work, but you probably need to provide more information about what kind of community service this is. There certainly are plenty of opportunities to do work for the Python community, regardless of whether the PSF is involved.
