Which reminds me of something I've wanted to look at for a while, but will
have to wait for after 2.0 now: plat-$arch should be generated (when
missing) not only on 'make install' but also on 'make test', otherwise tests
that need one of those files (test_fcntl, for instance) will fail. Not a big
issue, but not worth not fixing either ;)
