This could include: - A list for the core devs (e.g. core at pandas.pydata.org, private) - This list (pandas-dev at python.org) for anyone interested in pandas development (e.g. dev at pandas.pydata.org) - The list for code of conduct reports (e.g. coc at pandas.pydata.org) - List for any workgroups of the project, and any other useful lists we decide (e.g. infrastructure at pandas.pydata.org, finances at pandas.pydata.org, announcements at pandas.pydata.org...) We could also have email addresses with our domain if needed, for example to send emails from the CI, to link them to our social media accounts instead of personal ones... Personally, I think this would be an improvement over what we've got now, being clearer, easier to manage, easier to scale... Is there any comment or any objection to this (about using G-Suite/ pandas.pydata.org, not about the specific lists)? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It is fairly tricky to get Workspace and Mailman to work together, as you generally want to setup Google to be the default email route in the MX records for the domain. However, Workspace doesn't support Mailman so you have to setup a custom email routing within Workspace so it directs those particular emails to the original domain (or in this case, the Python.org domain). There's a few steps involved in the Google Admin panels. There was also some chichanery to allow the Workspace emails to post to the list, as the webhost didn't allow email addresses it doesn't know about to post to our Mailman lists. So I had to create fake accounts on the webhost for each Workspace email. I have detailed notes somewhere, so feel free to email me if you have any questions. I don't have any experience with running Google Groups inside a Workspace MX. Workspace has 'groups' but it's only for internal groups within the Workspace domain, i.e. Workspace groups are not Google Groups. I note there was an effort in 2019 to migrate this list to Google Groups and it seems to have been abandoned.
