[Numpy-discussion] Problem with importing numpy in Ubuntu

I just looked at my system more carefully.

There are two executable files

/usr/local/bin/python

and

/usr/bin/python
this is a link to python2.6

I believe that the first one is source compiled version. So, how can I get
rid of it?
