But real success would come only when we do it on a regular basis like today we have got a topic to discuss in our next meet which is very good to keep up the momentum.. For me, it was really nice to see new faces on the group. [...] Yes, I also had fun, and there was a lively discussion with interesting arguments. However, I agree with Raakesh in that the true test of success will be the sustainability of such meetings. What form such a sustained engagement will take will evolve from the interests of the group, but some possibilities are: 1. Show-and-tell: Presentations on projects people are working on 2. Python workshops in local colleges: Rather than one-off events, it would be good to see an active engagement with students in colleges. 3. Working together on open-source projects. One thing that would be good to see is an engagement with other such groups in Delhi/ NCR such as the big-data group, and others where we could bring in technical expertise to help with broader problems. We have agreed to meet at 4pm on the 2nd Sat. of every month, at different venues in Delhi/NCR. At the next meeting, on the 11th of January, Akshay will be doing a presentation of Kivy ( http://kivy.org ), an open-source Python library for rapid development of apps that can be deployed on multiple desktop/mobile platforms. I'm happy to share that my poster on Mudra ( https://us.pycon.org/2014/schedule/presentation/106/), a braille dicta-teacher coded in python and built on a raspi has been selected for presentation at PyCon 2014. I'm very excited about this opportunity! Also, it'll be lovely to actually meet the systers who were just faceless names on my daily digest :) However, the registration, visa, travel and accommodation costs will total up to ~2500 USD, which is way beyond my means. I am trying my best to obtain funding from sources like my university and PyCon itself, but in the best case they'll fund me partially, which means I still have to be on the lookout for sponsors/funding. I will be really grateful if any of you would guide me towards any other sources I could request for funding the presentation at PyCon. Thanks in advance, Sanskriti. -- See have a talented Pythonista from BITS, Pilani looking for the funds to attend PyCon, US. Can Pycon, India help her by any means. I know it doesn't comes under NCR but still we can find her a way out. *Regards,* *Sanskriti Dawle * *Core Member, Quark 2014* *Undergraduate student - B.E. (Hons.)
