I've come up with an answer to my own question: track the page name (using macro.formatter.page.page_name). A change of name will obviously be detected by the first call in a page. Furthermore, this solution fulfills the criterion that I mentioned in my previous followup - that it should work at earlier releases. The basic requirements for MoinMoin are: httpd mod_wsgi python-devel python-xml On our SUSE server, python-devel and python-xml are available, but I do not have root privilege to install other package. I am thinking to install lighthttpd in my own home area, is there a corresponding mod_wsgi that I can use with lighthttpd to be installed in my home area? Just a thought... You could try installing everything including an http server into a virtualenv. I have not done this myself yet, but, I did come across this page http://test.moinmo.in/+serve/docs/admin/install.html which led me to think about it. You wouldn't be able to run it from port 80 though! Regards, Iain. It is just announced: http://code.google.com/opensource/gci/2011-12/index.html We haven't applied yet. That's because we need more mentors helping with preparing tasks, mentoring students, reviewing their results. We need your help on various of the tasks. Especially for translation tasks you could help us. Because students can use machine translation we will only prepare translation tasks if a native speaker of that language agrees checking the new translation. You are also welcome to help on all other categories too. If you want to help us please see http://moinmo.in/GCI2011 best regards Reimar
